Not long ago, two young boys decided to build a raft to put in the old pond behind their house to play Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn. They made the decision to build this woodcraft project down in one of the boy's basement. The wood, nails and tools were available, so they enthusiastically went to work.

Two days later, the boys had completed the raft. Then reality hit them as they began hauling it to the basement steps. The raft was way too large and would not fit out of the basement door. It is too bad these young boys did not have a plan before building this wooden raft they undertook!
